Formed in 2005, Incarnation (INC), hailing all the way from Alor Setar, Kedah, is al- ready considered to be one of the most prominent metal bands in Malaysia. From the original line-up, guitarist Udey is the only member left. Najmi (guitars), Shah (bass) and Azim (drums), joined the band later. But it is the addition of vocalist Yadd that resulted in what many consider to be the band’s most formidable line-up of all. Influenced mostly by European metal group such as In Flames and Soilwork, and the likes of Pantera, Unearth and As I Lay Dying, the band aims for brutal riffs and meaningful lyrics. Combining elements of hardcore, thrash and extreme metal, INC have managed to channel a sound of their own.

Invitation for numerous shows has never dried up for Incarnation as they went throughout the country, from Penang to Johor Bahru to Pahang, to promote their brand of music. At times, even to neighboring countries like Indonesia and Singapore. In 2008, INC launched their debut album Stainless Perfect Murder, which led to a promotional tour of Jakarta and Surabaya in December that same year. Its first full length album features all the wicked and brutal elements that have helped it becoming a major hit. The track ‘Deranged Your Silence’ penetrated Japan through internet radio station Asian Rock Rising, while ‘Obligate’ was aired in one of Indonesia’s big- gest radio stations Prambors FM.

Such is the recognition that INC have opened for prominent international acts which includes Soilwork, Parkway Drive, Misery Signals, Hereafter, Sweet As Revenge as well as Burgerkill. The INC storm is set to continue as their marketing potential has been validated by endorsement deals with Indonesia’s Crooz Fashion Distortion and a jeans line for Udey by PeterSaysDenim from Bandung. With a second album in the works due for release in 2010, Incarnation is primed to set the Malaysian heavy metal scene ablaze even further.
